COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEES

MEMBER VISITATION - Randy & Jim Johnson

The function of this committee is to acknowledge Rotarians who are shut-ins or ill with "Thinking of You" cards signed by members.

ROTARY RESERVE - Ken Samek, Jack Locke

This committee's purpose is to coordinate new capital improvements at the Rotary Reserve as well as develop a "wish list" for future capital improvements.

ROTARY RESERVE OVERSIGHT - John Beecher

This committee is charged with administering the terms of the ninety-nine year lease between the Rotary Club and the Black Hawk County Conservation Board.  The committee meets as needed to discuss requests or concerns that the lease participants may have communicated to them throughout the year.

The committee continues to administer the terms of the lease and acts as a conduit for ideas, concerns and suggestions coming from the Rotary Club, and the Black Hawk County Conservation Board through their various boards. 

We just finished a $60,000 (plus labor) expansion on the Rotary Reserve.  The kitchen, bathrooms and changing rooms were all expanded and remodeled. A storage area was also built.

RURAL-URBAN LUNCH - Chuck Paulsen

The annual Rural-Urban luncheon with local area farmers is scheduled for Monday, February 22, 2010
