A Fond Farewell

For more than a dozen years, club Secretary Kelli McCarthy and pianist Carolyn Vandeventer were fixtures at our weekly meetings. June 6th was bittersweet as we bid both of them farewell, but not before we could snap a group photo!

Kelli has held the club together since accepting the secretary position in 2003, and performed countless tasks of varying detail from printing monthly board packets to accompanying the Nicaragua team to deliver shoeboxes. Our club owes a huge debt of gratitude to Kelli, and now the incoming board and President-Elect Lauren Finke have the daunting task of running our club without her.

Carolyn's contribution to our club literally set the tone for each meeting with a happy little group of songs...and it is no small feat keeping up with Hovey's impromptu songs!
