Program will include rewards for members who recruit new members

The campaign, which was discussed and approved at the board’s August 23 meeting, will have several components. They are:
  • $25 gift cards for members who propose a new member after the newbie has been in the club for 90 days and has gotten the coveted blue badge indicating he or she has completed orientation.
  • An all-member 90-day campaign beginning in October with board members competing with the rest of the club and rewards for the winning team if at least ten new members join us.
  • A second campaign beginning in February where members who bring in a new member receiving a free registration to the 2017 district conference in Cedar Falls.
  • An ongoing “membership minute” program every week during the meeting with membership hints and ideas.
  • The new member orientation program with a more complete picture of Rotary and the history of our club.
  • And any member who brings in ten new members by May 15 will receive a free registration to Rotary’s international convention in Atlanta.
At the August 23 meeting we approved one new member and accepted two resignations leaving us with just 133 members to cover club expenses.
