Treasurer Julie Hayes reports August results to club’s board September 27, 2016
That report shows a profit for August of $1,145 and of $2,492 for the first two months of the club’s year beginning July 1. She calculated the results on the accrual basis which presents more accurate information than cash basis.
Part of the improved results from last year relate to the loss of the administrative assistant position last spring which amounts to about $1,650 per month. Additionally, the club’s lease in office space in the Waterloo Building ends December 31 and will further reduce expenses by more than $400 a month.
The downside of the loss of staff and office space puts more of the administrative load on club members. You can help spread the load by visiting with Ms. Hayes or President Lauren.
