The Club has undergone some big changes in the recent months and as highlighted by club president Lauren Finke during last Monday’s meeting, volunteers are needed to assist with some roles to make the Club and the weekly meetings run smoothly. Here’s a rundown on the needs:

Membership Chair
This person would spearhead recruitment and bring structure to the process through interaction with prospective members and delegation of duties to other Rotarians. Duties include:

Scheduling and preparation of items for regular orientation sessions

Present new member application to President for Board approval

Marketing to the community and Club for recruitment purposes

Scheduling formal introduction of new members to Club

Work with the Club Secretary to prepare pins and assist with red-to-blue pin changes

Meeting Greeter

These volunteers will act as hosts each week by greeting Club Members, guests, visiting Rotarians, and prospective members at the entrance to the meeting space. As a volunteer you will arrive at 11:30 a.m. and welcome with a smile, a “hello”, and/or a handshake. This role reports to Katelyn Pedersen and Bette Wubbena

Youth Exchange Officer

This role needs to be filled annually and acts as the liaison for youth exchange activities between the Club and the District. This person will assist with the recruitment efforts for the outbound student including interviewing candidates, working through paperwork, and preparing the students for departure. In addition, this person will work with the Club Counselor and the inbound student. Training is provided for this role and as a volunteer you will be vetted by the District with a background check and passing a brief written exam.

As Rotarians we all have an interest in service. Take part in providing service to our Club by showing interest in any of these opportunities. Reach out to Lauren or president-elect Phil Nash for more information.
