NO MEETING JULY 23
 
To encourage our members to bring families to the Annual Rotary Family Picnic, we will NOT MEET Monday, July 23.
 
Our next regular meeting will be July 30th to hear Jim Madison, CEO of the Winnebago Council give us an overview of the all of the changes in the Boy Scouts that have occurred recently.
 
The August 6th Program:  Location Change!!!!  Our August 6th meeting will be at the Hartman Nature Reserve.  Join us as we enjoy Blue Barn BBQ at the new Hartman Reserve Nature Center at 657 Reserve Drive, Cedar Falls.  We will be visiting the Nature Center as well as listening to a presentation by Director Ed Gruenwald.
 
 
Family Picnic July 26th
 
One of our club's oldest traditions is the annual family picnic at the Rotary Reserve.  Bring your family, friends, and neighbors this Thursday to create a little history of your own!

Thursday, July 26 – Rotary Reserve 5932 N Union Rd, Cedar Falls, IA 50613
5:30PM – Social
6:30PM – Dinner
*Bring your own beverage and tableware
Inflatables for kids
Menu: Chicken, beans, coleslaw, sweet corn, watermelon and ice cream
$20/Family
 
Volunteers needed to help cook at 12PM and set-up around 3PM

Calling All Future Leaders!
The Future Leaders training will be held in conjunction with the Celebration Zone Institute in Erie, PA on September 27‐30, 2018. We have an outstanding lineup of guest speakers, zone directors and even the Rotary International President Elect ready to connect, engage and inspire you! District 5970 is offering 4 scholarships to attend the Future Leaders Program. If you meet any of the following criteria, please apply!
 
  • Individuals identified as potential future leaders in Rotary
  • Preferably someone who is wanting to be a dynamic leader, whether it be as club president, a district committee chair, or even a future district governor
  • Someone who is ready to be an active participant in breakout sessions ‐ the Future Leaders track will be hands‐on and engaging with group interaction
  • Candidate can be any age, as long as they are forward thinking
