Monday's Program is Dr. Kime of Accupuncture and Chiropractic Clinic of Iowa

Dr. Kime is the author of "Cancer is Kicking my Butt, but I have a really Big Butt."

She was raised in Taiwan under the Traditional Chinese Medicine environment.  Dr. Kime received her Masters from Southern Illinois University in 1994.  She then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, after raising her 5 child family, graduating in 2010. While studying at Palmer, Dr. Kime traveled to Chicago to obtain her Acupuncture certification from National University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Kime moved to the Cedar Valley and opened Acupuncture & Chiropractic Clinic of Iowa in 2010. She has successfully helped many patients, with many different symptoms, using acupuncture, chiropractic, whole foods nutrition, and anti-aging herbs.  Dr. Kime and her family live in Cedar Falls with their five kids.

Recently, Dr. Kime wrote a book about her husband that passed away three years ago. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer, which took her and her family life by surprise. The journey was painful, but something she and her family have learned and grown from. In this book she talks about everything him and their family went through during the traumatic time and she also explains ways that helped her grieve and move on. https://accoi.net/meet-dr-kime/

Winners of 2020 Rotarian Magazine Contest

From Hong Kong to Hungary, Rotarians captured perfect moments in our annual photo contest.

This year, we received more than 600 entries to our photo contest from 56 countries and geographical areas. The photographs take us from the vast plains of Inner Mongolia to the manmade canyons of Hong Kong. They tell a story of Rotarians exploring the world with open eyes and hearts, making connections across cultures, and capturing beauty wherever they find it.

Our judge, Damon Winter, has brought to his task the discerning eye of a professional photographer. His comments on the images our readers submitted are like a master class in photography; like the best teachers, he sees what is good — and how it might be even better.

In addition to the winners and honorable mentions that appear in this issue, we’ll feature more photos from the contest in The Rotarian throughout the coming year.
