First Program of 2017
Join us after a few weeks off for a look inside Medicare fraud and how to protect yourself or loved ones. Debra Shoopman from the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging will tell us about the Senior Medicare Patrol and how it has saved millions of dollars from scammers and criminals.

Service Planned for MLK Day
Jan 16 is Martin Luther King Jr Day.  In anticipation of having some people off work that day, and in observance of that Holiday, we are holding a Day of Service meeting.

We will meet at the NE Iowa Food Bank at regular meeting time.  A lunch will be provided for those in attendance.  We will have a short program, then we will help Barb and her team assemble the backpacks for their backpack program.  You will be free to leave at 1 PM, or stay as long as you wish.  Feel free to invite family, friends, children, anybody that would like to help!

We absolutely must have an RSVP from members.  This will help with our lunch order, and with the Food Bank’s preparation for us.

Please RSVP for you and any guests by Friday, January 13.  If you have questions please contact Philip Nash.

AWOL Radon Detector
Several years ago, Rotarian Tom Arthur purchased a home Radon detector for our club so our members could check it out and test their homes for the deadly invisible gas.  As winter keeps us indoors, we'd like to find that detector and offer it to members again.  Do you have it or know a member that may have checked it out and forgot to bring it back?  Contact Mason if you have any information on where that Radon detector is now.
