Hops & Grapes Funds Decision
Hops & Grapes 2017 will be held at the Isle Casino on Thursday, May 18, from 6 - 9 PM. This is our annual social with a fundraising component. This year's committee has decided they would like to benefit one of our internal Club projects. It is up to the membership to make a final decision as to which cause to fund. The event's proceeds will be split 75% to the cause and 25% to be used by the board to fund non-profits and other worthy causes.

President Elect Philip Nash sent a survey via email to all members Friday morning.  Please look for that message and vote as soon as possible.  Voting Closes Monday, April 10th at 5 PM!

VGM Heartland Conference 2017
For six years the Waterloo Rotary Club has contributed to VGM’s Heartland Conference as room ambassadors. According to VGM: “Rotarians not only enhanced the Midwestern friendliness of our event, but these volunteers also helped thousands of attendees navigate our conference and city.”

We’ve recently learned that this year the Waterloo Rotary Club will not be participating in VGM’s Heartland Conference as room hosts. VGM has decided to support their education partner, Lincoln Elementary in Waterloo, by tapping their volunteer base to fill the roles. This will be an excellent opportunity for VGM to positively impact the students and staff at Lincoln.

Our Club is sorry to see this volunteer (and fundraising) opportunity go, but will continue to welcome the many guests into our community during this conference.
