Club's Centennial Committee plans gala June 25

We've waited 100 years for this special event and you will want to be part of if June 25

Committee co chairs Donna Miller and Bette Wubbena met with a group of 10 committee members March 23 to review plans for the much-anticipated centennial dinner June 25 at the Waterloo Elks Club. There are dozens of details to decide and work to be done.

Our club, which was chartered July 1, 2015 as the 168th club world-wide with Fred Northey as president and nine other charter members. Today there are 34,558 clubs in 200 countries and geographical regions with 1.3 million members. Ours is the second oldest in district 5970 and the fourth oldest in Iowa. That means we have a lot to be proud of and a lot to celebrate. That's what we plan to do on June 25.
