Last week, three committee met after the Club business meeting.
Three committees met on Monday at the quarterly business meeting. The membership committee has met several times since the March business meeting and has developed a postcard and email that we can send to our business, professional and personal contacts to invite them to visit our club at a meeting or share information with them. More information to come soon.
The fundraising committee talked more about the Envelope Challenge that was just completed in one of the Cedar Rapids clubs. This has been discussed several times at Board meetings and most members felt like it is worth considering as a way for our club to make money for our charities. We will continue meeting and refining the challenge, more to come.
The programs committee had many good ideas about future meeting topics. These will be incorporated in the future once contacts are established. Volunteer meetings were discussed to do each quarter for different areas such as Food Bank, city parks and Habitat for Humanity. It also discussed doing an AI program and continue to do programs with local and state politicians.
