Membership development is on everybody’s mind these days

President Elect Chris Hurley has made membership growth his top priority next year.

Here’s a list of ideas other clubs in Iowa are using to stem the tide of losing members.

--Create a DVD about our club to give to prospective members.

--Involve new members in club activities.

--Invite prospective members to participate in a club project.

--Survey those who have left the club for their reasons.

--Dress up meetings to better appeal to “under 40” prospects.

--Have a “Rotary 101” program from time to time.

--Encourage younger members to participate in social events.
