  4. Reminder that when a Rotarian is ready to resign or retire from Rotary they must notify the Club president and/or Board in writing, per Rotary International rules.
  5. RYLA Applications are being accepted now through April 1, 2025.  The week-long leadership training is open to freshman, sophomore, and junior high school students.  It will be held in Fairfield Iowa at Grinnell College, July 27-Aug 1, 2025.
  6. We are looking for members to serve on the Executive Board, serve as Treasurer and Membership Chair.
    1. We split into three committees and brainstormed.  Here is a summary of those results:
    • Membership Committee.  Lots of ideas to help the club membership expand, some ideas included meetings only twice a month, some of the meetings on zoom, all of the meetings available by zoom and different types of memberships.  A few people wanted to continue to meet and discuss ideas over the next few weeks.  Please see Amy Rousselow or Allison Beach for information if you would like to participate.
    • Programs.  Lots of good ideas for upcoming programs were brainstormed.  We are nearly full until Mid-June now.  Some ideas were: Waterloo Fiber, Cedar Valley Hospice, and pickleball.
    • Fundraising.  An idea out of one of the Cedar Rapids Rotary Clubs is called “The Envelope Challenge”.  It is an easy way to raise money and gets all members involved with nearly the same amount of work.  Pick an envelope: Have a set number of envelopes numbered 1 to 150, each represents a dollar amount.  Simply choose a numbered envelope and commit to donating that amount.  For example, if you pick #25 you donate $25. Make Your Donation: Your generous donations support our club and our charity: Operation Warm.  Many members liked this idea, there will be more to come in April on this fundraiser.
