The Waterloo Rotary Club just made another $1,000 presentation to the Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley (VCCV).

Past Waterloo Club President and VCCV Executive Director Lauren Fink accepted the check from past president Mark Durbahn in front of the Volunteer Center on Kimball Avenue. This check will help the center to provide additional resources to recruit new volunteers due to changing volunteer pools caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

Lauren’s Thank You to our Club:

Thanks so much for the most generous gift from the Waterloo Rotary Club. The VCCV is lucky to have a partner like the Club in the community. We've had an interesting and busy couple of months diving in and assisting essential organizations in fulfilling volunteer needs in response to COVID-19. In fact we connected 300+ volunteers in about 5 weeks to assist at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, transporting blood products for the Red Cross, delivering meals for seniors for NEI3A, and creating PPE for community organizations including childcare center and senior communities. Thank you, again, for thinking of the Volunteer Center - we're truly grateful!”
