Rotarians from Iowa and Northern Missouri will meet for a day of fellowship and food in Des Moines with former RI President Ray Klingensmith

Plan now to join Past RI President Ray Klinginsmith and Rotarians from the Iowa from Northern Iowa Districts 5970, 6000 and 6040 for a day at the Iowa State Fair. There’ll be plenty of food, fun and fellowship. Former President Ray hails from northern Missouri and is a regular visitor to our fair.

We are invited to join Iowa Rotarians for a few hours or the entire day on Friday, August 12 at the Iowa State fair in Des Moines.  Below are the various meeting times throughout the day you can catch up with our group. And don’t forget to wear Rotary attire!

9:00 AM

Enjoy cinnamon rolls at the West Des Moines Methodist Church stand (located in the NE corner of the Sheep Barn)

10:00 AM

View the world-renowned, sculpted butter cow among other agricultural exhibits in the Ag building

11:15 AM

Lunch at the Cattlemen's Beef Quarters – we’ll get there early to beat the crowds at this ever popular spot

12:30 PM

Try some of Iowa’s best brews at the Iowa craft beer tent located just down from the Beef Quarters

1:30 PM

Explore the displays at the Varied Industries building and the outdoor antique tractor exhibit. And of course in between these meeting times, we’ll take in many other sights and sounds of the Iowa State Fair, including the daily live entertainment at any of the four free stages throughout the grounds.

We hope to see you there!
